Thanks to everyone for their awesome feedback on our album! Here are a couple of reviews...
'This is an intriguing mixture of cafaacé cool and indie pop. Think of a mash up between Lamb, Mono and Massive Attack. Claire Holmes provides exceptional delicate vocals over a metronomic approach to raw percussion and double bass. The subtle keyboards and occasional jangly guitar weave nicely between plucked violin, the songs reaching new heights on each listen. This must be the reward of playing together for the last six years. The five met at music school in Auckland and have only released one EP since then. Highlights on this include the horn driven Like No One Else and solid drum groove of most tracks, including the mash up of rock meets marching soldier on Way Back Home. The haunting Fear And White Noise stays with you long after listening. Aside from the steel drum theme on the second to last Pieces Of Eight I'd rate this album highly'.
